Tadelakt-inspired finishes offer a softly polished, lime-based decorative look with gentle movement and a tactile character. They suit designs where walls, curves and architectural details should feel connected rather than divided into small units. The precise appearance is developed through the selected material and application technique; the name alone does not define the complete finish system.
Where this finish works in the design
Consider this direction for feature walls, niches, curved corners and hospitality or residential interiors with a calm, sculptural character. The way light travels across the surface is especially important around rounded transitions.
Developing your finish
Bring references that show the preferred sheen, colour depth and shape of the details. We use an approved sample to agree the surface character, and review edges, junctions and adjacent materials before the specialist work begins. A softly polished sample can look quite different under warm lighting and daylight.
Choosing the right direction
A Tadelakt-inspired appearance is not automatically a specification for traditional Tadelakt. The selected system and intended use are confirmed for the project. Compare Venetian plaster for a more reflective layered effect, or clay and lime plaster for a more matte, earthy direction.
