Crateria is an expressive decorative finish built around a pitted, crater-like texture and a metallic visual character. Raised areas and recesses catch light differently, producing depth that changes as you move through the space. It is intended as a distinctive surface feature rather than ordinary wall painting.

Where this finish works in the design

Statement walls, restaurant features, lounges and reception areas where texture and lighting are part of the design.

Developing your finish

Agree the colour direction, the strength of the metallic effect and the density of the crater texture. Review a sample under the proposed lighting: grazing light can dramatically increase contrast between high points and recesses.

Choosing the right direction

A quieter metallic treatment can be discussed where the design needs lustre without heavy texture. The approved sample establishes the actual finish rather than a generic metallic colour name.

From reference to final review

SurfaceLab brings finish selection and hands-on project management together for villas, hospitality and commercial spaces in Dubai and across the UAE. We review the references, approximate areas, surface conditions and programme, then develop the colour and texture through an agreed sample. Specialist work and finish-quality reviews are managed against the approved direction.

Pricing depends on the area, preparation, access, detailing and finish complexity. Any sample or mock-up costs are agreed in advance. Share your location, dimensions, reference images and target timing so we can discuss the right scope.
